I thought with Jake turning two years old in less than a week I would write a little light hearted update about him, out of my four children Jake has been the most challenging (polite term for little sod) but he has these huge beautiful blue eyes and the cheekiest little personality that one grin from him and all is forgiven.

What Jake Likes

• Climbing ( on everything)
• Throwing ( absolutely everything)
• Using biro to decorate the kitchen appliances
• Mashed potato by the bucket load
• Choc Choc
• Twirlywoos
• Postman Pat (Pat Pat)
• Snuggling
• Milk
• Corners of duvets
• Stones
• Terrorising the cat (his sister, us, the list goes on)
• Running away at nappy change time
• Dancing
• Talking in a secret language that only he understands
• Feeding himself
• Playing in the garden
• Scowling at strangers ( read friendly old ladies)
• Pretending to read books
• Brushing his teeth

What Jake Doesn’t Like

• The word no
• Vegetables ( he can spot a hidden carrot a mile off)
• Getting his hands messy
• Going to the dentist
• Sitting still
• Friendly people
• Staying in bed past 6 AM
• Jelly
• Being in his buggy
• Really loud noises
• Keeping his socks on
• Having his hair washed

Jake really is a little fire cracker, we have to watch him like a hawk so we can pre-determine the mischief he has in mind, he makes us laugh, he frustrates us, he brightens our day, he is a bundle of wicked fun.

There have been some really tough times over the last two years but we wouldn’t have it any other way, Jake is our final baby, FrugalMrW and I have hung up our baby making hats (or pants if you prefer) we are ready to embrace toddler hood all that comes with it, we have potty training to look forward to next (yay!)
