Living Arrows 38/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Jake

I’ve really been enjoying the afternoons Jake and I spend together since school started. Last week he helped me make an apple crumble and prepare mashed potato for the week. He really loves to help out around the house, unless his it’s hos bedroom that needs tidying up that is.

Jake is really enjoying his mornings at nursery which makes me very happy indeed. His class has been learning about nocturnal animals and it’s really captured his imagination. We spent some this week on the iPad looking up which creatures are nocturnal. He has also been asking me where everything comes from, I think it’s his equivalent to asking ‘Why?’.

Daisy

I seem to be taking less and less photo’s of Daisy each week. I think it’s because our school week is so busy and there’s not always time to catch a snap. My photo of her this week is from a review we are working on, I love that I’ve captured this look on her face. She really does enjoying reviewing the toys and games we get sent.

Daisy has had a fantastic week at school which ended with her getting a star of the week award. She got to sit on the captain’s table for lunch on Friday and bring home a certificate. I’m so happy that she’s enjoying school.

  1. I can’t wait to be able to do cooking with my little one, some of my favourite memories growing up are helping my mum to cook! Love her face in that photo, she looks like she’s really loving it! #livingarrows

  2. Well done Daisy on the school award. N’s award have a VIP table so daily VIP winners get to sit on that and go into lunch early/leave for the playground first. #livingarrows

  3. OOh VIP table, great work! Apple crumble is a great pud to make with kids. And yummy to eat too!
