“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Daisy
This week we visited a local pumpkin patch. It was so much fun to see hundreds of pumpkins spread across the field. Daisy and Jake thought it was brilliant to be able to walk in and out of the patch. It was also a great way to teach the kids about how things grow and where our food comes from. We chose a few small ones to carve before Halloween.
Jake
Jake loved being able to pick his own pumpkin. It was quite comical to watch him try to lift some of the heavier ones. Some were much bigger than his head. I’m glad we went this week before the weather changed. It was such a lovely bright sunny morning. I think it will be a regular Autumn tradition for us as a family from now on.
Jake also had a really good week at nursery. He went in every morning without tears and is even talking about the other kids now too.

We love visiting PYO and go throughout the year – I agree – it’s great to be able to show them where food comes from #LivingArrows
It looks like you had a fab time, we have missed our chance this year to visit a pumpkin patch but its definitely something we will do next year. Fab photographs xx
We haven’t managed to get to a pumpkin patch yet this year – Looks like there were loads to choose from at yours. Glad little Jake has had a better week at nursery. Long may it last. #LivingArrows
Oh your photos are so beautiful – I love how much fun they are clearly having! x
Lovely photos! And so good to hear that Jake is getting on well at nursery. x #LivingArrows
