Making The Most of Store Loyalty Cards

I don’t know about you but my purse is bursting with a huge assortment of store loyalty cards, they were all free and I’m always looking for ways to make an extra point or penny on them.

I usually save all the points up and spend them at Christmas, it’s amazing what savings you can make and it’s also amazing how many different ways there are to collect extra points.

Promotional Offers

Look out for stores offering extra points promotions, many have in-store events as well as sending you direct mailers containing the offers.

Surveys

Join store schemes such as the Orchard by Tesco, you can sample products for free as well as earning extra points for giving your opinions.

Most store receipts offer an incentive for filling in a quick survey about your shopping experience.

Social Media

Follow stores that offer loyalty cards on social media, they often run giveaways or point incentives events on their Facebook or Twitter feeds.

Fuel Up

Many of the supermarkets have petrol stations close by, you can collect extra points for filling up just don’t forget to swipe your loyalty card when paying.

Partner Offers

Many companies link up with large store loyalty schemes to offer incentive points if you purchase through them, we earn extra points on our gas and electric bills.

Join Clubs

Most stores have baby clubs where you can earn extra points for being a part of the club or spending on specific products.

Wombling

This a controversial one, it involves collecting discarded receipts with unclaimed points and putting them on your own card, after all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

These are just a few ideas to get you started, if you can think of any more leave me a comment, I would love to know how you boost your points.
