  1. Candy Floss always reminds me of being a child going to the fun fair. Every child loves candy floss though I’m sure parents doing feel the same haha

  2. The smell of herbal tablets, takes me straight back to been little, remember queuing for them so I could have a quarter or 2 quarters if I had saved a bit more money and then eating loads all day at school

  3. Hmm I’m not really sure, there’s no smell in particular, except that sort of generic smell you get in schools maybe?

  4. my grans mints ( which supposedly stopped us from knowing she had been smoking!! ) then my dad followed suit lol … the car always smelt of extra strong mints!!!

  5. bread pudding baking. mm, that and the mix of soap, talc and other things that made up my mum’s bedroom drawers!

  6. My uncles, dad and nan were keen fishers and they used to cook hemp for their bait that smell always reminds me of being at nans while they all sorted their fishing gear out

  7. fresh baked bread…..my nan used to bake her own bread, and we would toast it over her open fire. It was the best smell in the world.

  8. The smell of my mums perfume, she has her favourite that she has stuck with for years … every time I smell it I cant help but think of my chilhood !!

  9. The smell of homemade cookies and cakes remind me of being a child as my mother was forever baking when i was a child.

  10. A little odd becuse it’s such a well known scent, but Lavender instantly transports me back to my childhood because it’s always what my nanna’s house smelt of and I was always there.

  11. Playdoh! And I had this little doll that turned into a cupcake and smelled AMAZING so whenever i smell that smell again, it sends me right back!! Well love Nom Nums!

  12. Oh so many to choose from! I suppose my favourite would have to be donuts, my grandmother used to take me to the seaside every summer and we’d have donuts every day so there’s lots of happy memories with that smell.

  13. Camomile lotion. The amount of times I fell in stingers playing with the lads plus getting chicken pox a grand total of 4 times as I have no immunity to it meant this was a regular smell and that of some thick pink stuff called germoline.

  14. Newly cut grass always reminds me of my childhood as my friends and I used to go to the fields near our house and roll down the hills during the summer – Happy Memories xx

  15. Freshly made cakes or apple pie, reminds me of my childhood at my granny’s house I try to bake every weekend with my kids to produce the same memories and smells.

  16. I used to collect scented erasers when I was child and occasionally I get a whiff of something that reminds me of them and me buying them.

  17. Kind of a strange one but freshly cut grass/hedges as it takes me back to coming home from school for the holidays and everyone out cutting their grass!

  18. robinson’s squah, my nan always had this at her house and the smell always reminds me of going to see her when i was younger

  19. Lilacs as I used to spend Summers at my grandparents house in Texas and right outside the bedroom windows were lilac trees

  20. My mums Sunday dinner! Instantly reminds me of our Sundays when the whole family used to come round and we would have our roast beef and the biggest Yorkshires you’ve ever seen!

  21. This will sound odd but the smell that reminds me of my childhood is the smell of tyre garages, it reminds me of going to work with my Dad which I loved

  22. The smell of baking as i spent so much time with my nanna and she baked everyday. Also the smell of Old Spice aftershave that my dad always wore.

  23. omg the smell of dripping on toast yummy , my mom used to save the drippin in the pan and used to spread it on toast for me <3

  24. Real gravy and Christmas dinner as we all used to descend on my grandparents’ house on Christmas Day. At the time there were 13 of us so we had to have dinner in 2 sittings. 🙂 Oh and roses as I used to play in my grandparents’ garden on a Friday night and then when I was older I used to sit and do my homework there and the smell always takes me back to those times. Great memories.

  25. Strawberry jam. My grandmother was always making Bakewell tarts when I was a child, so I’m reminded of her whenever I see or smell jam.
