  1. Mobile. This one’s a given, but let’s start with safety. If I’m stranded, without fuel or simply want to get in touch with friends, a mobile phone will certainly come in handy. But that’s not all, my smartphone is the ideal place to store information, itineraries and entertainment. From handy apps to maps and of course a camera, my mobile has it covered.

  2. iPad, as allows me to keep in contact via e-mail. Keep updated with News etc, and ALS able to take photos with iPad, saving some memorable moments from the holiday which I can share with others.

  3. Definitely the bairn’s kindle. Wipes, food, sun cream, clothes anything you forget u can buy. But you can’t buy that well behaved little girl on the plane or that 20 mins of peace and quiet after breakfast before you have to go out. Best invention ever xx

  4. My face exfoliating brush and moisturiser. Holidays always seem to dry my face out and I end up with skin falling off my face! I’m scared to look at myself – let alone inflict it on others!

  5. Talcom powder, it’s a life saver on the beaches for getting rid of the sand when we are going x

  6. It has to be good old wet wipes! I wouldn’t go anywhere without them. Great for mopping up spills, cleaning dirty faces, cleaning dirty hands!

  7. My swimsuit. I’m an odd shape and finding something that fits and that I am confident in wearing is a nightmare and I pay a lot for my swimwear

  8. My phone! Perfect for taking pictures of special moments & also handy to keep the kids entertained if they get bored x

  9. I would say my smartphone, because it’s SO many things in one- communicates with just about anyone, takes photos and videos of my memories on the holiday, maps, recommendations, travel guides. As long as I remember the charger it is just so useful!

  10. Probably my phone. Mostly because, for me, it wouldn’t be much of a holiday without some kind of access to the internet.

  11. Has to be suncream, I take loads of travel size ones, begrudge buying it abroad as it’s so expensive and I burn really easily

  12. Tick twisters! We spend a lot of holidays deep in the countryside, in forests and on the hills so they’re kinda essential!

  13. Baby wipes, they are really handy for everything cleaning up, cleaning ice cream of kids faces, keeping cool, loads of uses!

  14. My smartphone…essential for keeping the family entertained whilst in all those holiday queues plus it’s my phone, camera, organiser rolled into one. Second essential would be baby wipes 😉

  15. I can’t go without my IPad as it has all my music on and a few books I want to read. Plus if I go somewhere with wireless I can Skype yeah

  16. My phone, if we get split up it’s the only way to contact each other plus it doubles up as a great camera to save those memories 🙂

  17. My phone charger. Like all modern smartphones, it doesn’t last very long before it needs charging

  18. Teabags! I cannot function without a decent cup of tea in the morning 🙂
(also, shampoo and conditioner as the stuff in hotels is normally quiet harsh)

  19. 3 essentials – my phone, my camera as I love taking pics and baby wipes – useful for all sorts of things!

  20. Wet wipes. Perfect for everything from wiping sticky fingers to cooling off whilst waiting at the luggage carousel!

  21. once a day suncream. if you forget to reapply usually or even after a swim you know you still have some protection.

  22. If the holiday is in the UK it’s my coffee machine! I’m really grumpy without a good latte first thing in the morning.

  23. My Camera. It captures all those memories you want to keep and share with your grandkids when your older! A photo tells a thousands stories of your life and history,x

  24. wet wipes or babywipes are a essential for me. they are versitile can cool you down or wipe sticky fingers and mucky faces etc so i never go anywhere with out them but id also take some good books for a nice beach read.

  25. Great prize! Good luck to all 🙂
I would have to say sunglasses, insect repellant, a large sun hat, strappy comfortable sandles, a quick easy to use sun spray & vaseline for lip protection. The list is endless!

  26. A fan, one year the air conditioning broke down and it was unbearable so I always pack a fan now

  27. A good book. 🙂 Oh and a riding hat and some clothes to go riding in. Have always gone riding on holiday and this time we went for a beach ride, one to tick off the bucket list.

  28. A phone charger – then i have access to a camera, apps to entertain my son, bank apps etc and can view timetables and info for things local

  29. Sun cream! I burn even when it’s really overcast and love to be able to have fun in the fun without worrying about sun burn!

  30. My phone because they multitask. It’s my diary, my alarm, my camera for those all important pictures and you can Google just about anything on everywhere these days with your mobile

  31. Many thanks for the win – I e-mailed my details – I know that my young niece will adore this.
Keep up the great blogging and competitions – we love them.
All the best and good times in the future
