Pumpkins, Stranger Things & Laughter #LittleLoves

It’s time to share another week of little loves with you. We have such a nice week, it’s half-term and Chris has been off work too. The kids have two weeks off so we have lots of plans to craft and play next week as well.

Here are this weeks little loves.

Read

I’ve been reading these gorgeous My Golden Ticket books that the kids were sent to review. The books are personalised, much to Daisy and Jake’s delight. It’s so nice reading them an adventure that they are both in.

Watched

This week we binge watched the whole first series of Stranger Things. I know we are so late to the party with this one. I did try to watch it when it was released but couldn’t get into it. I’m so glad I gave it another go as its brilliant. I will admit to having to sleep with the bedroom door open afterwards though.

We have a very rare child free night on Friday so we plan to binge watch the newly released season 2 on Netflix. I can’t wait it looks so good.

Heard

I’ve loved having the kids home this week for half-term, the house has been full of laughter and noise. They also have plenty of squabbles but even those are quite comical.

Made

The kids got to work designing and carving their pumpkins with Daddy this week. Once they had finished scooping out the flesh I gathered up the seeds. I love roasting the seeds but usually burn them. I followed a simple recipe I found online which involved coating them in melted butter before roasting. Oh my goodness they tasted absolutely divine.

Wore

I’ve it finally being cool enough this week to wear my cardigans again. I love nothing more than feeling cosy and comfortable in my clothes. I would actually live in pyjamas if i could.

And Lastly…

I’m off to visit my big lad at university this weekend. He has totally embraced the student life, getting out and about. I do miss him but I’m incredibly proud of him for following his dreams.
