Word Of The Week-Music

This week has been an absolutely jam-packed week full of festive music and singing. I have loved listening to Daisy and Jake practice their songs for their Christmas shows these past few weeks. On Monday it was finally time to watch Daisy in her show. The children all sang beautifully and Daisy loved bopping away to the music.

There was more festive music on Monday night when we visited Winter Wonderland in Manchester. I do love Christmas songs, especially all the old ones. Not sure I will ever get tired of ‘Fairytale of New York’ and ‘Last Christmas’.

On Wednesday it was time to watch Jake’s Christmas show at Nursery. The kids sang so well considering they are all so little. I’m not sure Jake knew all the words but he gave them a good go, in fact he was so wrapped up in the music he forgot to exit the stage !

I’ve switched to listening to the radio in the daytime since I treated myself to a new DAB radio with my birthday money. It’s been well over a year since my last one broke and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to replace it. I love listening to Absolute 90’s it takes me right back to the days of my youth.

After having some trouble sleeping this week I decided to look for some relaxing music on Prime Music. I found ‘Music to promote sleep’ by sonicaid which was very relaxing indeed and helped me to drift off.

This week really had revolved all around music and sound.

You might enjoy my previous word of the week post, Relaxed.

  1. Definitely a week of music for you. My daughter’s carol concert is on Monday evening so I’ve been hearing a fair few carols this week! I got a DAB radio recently too and have it on during the day, though I go for an 80s station! Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  2. Your week sounds very festive to help get you in the mood for the run up to the big day. Winter wonderland sounds lovely way to spend during the festive season. Have a great week X wotw

  4. I love the kids concerts at school. I only have one to look forward to this year and that’s my eldest, the youngest don’t seem to have anything on which is very sad and I’m not sure why the school hasn’t arranged anything. Like you, I do love Christmas music. My hubby loves Absolute 90s on the radio, I prefer listening to just Absolute radio.
