The Foodies Festival at Tatton Park is one of my favourite places to visit each Summer so when I heard there would be a Christmas event for the first time this year I was excited. I was invited along to experience their VIP package. We decided to visit on the last day of the festival which was Sunday. I couldn’t wait to stock up on some cheeses for Christmas and to see what other festive delights were available.

The Foodies Festival is usually an outdoor event but for the Winter edition, it was held in a huge marquee tent complete with a vast starry ceiling. I loved this year’s layout, it reminded me of the Christmas markets you often find in towns this type of year.

We made our way to the VIP area which looked very festive with a quirky vintage twist. After drinking our complimentary Prosecco, which was absolutely delicious we planned our route around the stalls. We didn’t have time to enjoy the shows this time but our VIP wristband would have given us priority access.

Walking around the festival I noticed that there was such a fantastic range of food and drink stalls. The stall holders were more than generous with their samples and we tried lots of gin and tasty cheese samples. I quickly realised that this was my favourite of all the food festivals I’ve visited. The atmosphere was lovely, festive and cosy.

After filling our bags with delicious food and drink purchases it was soon time for lunch. There were so many tempting street food stalls to choose from. I decided I wanted a burrito and chose a citrus chicken one. We made our way back to the VIP area where we enjoyed our lunch followed by complimentary coffee, tea and snacks.

With bellies full it was time for another lap of the marquee to buy some more goodies before heading home. I bought so much this time and my bags were bulging, there were some great deals to be had.

My only disappointment was the absence of my favourite cheese companies, Snowdonia Cheese Company and Cheshire Cheese Company.

We had a fabulous time and I will definitely be back next year again.
