Jake was recently sent a lunch bag from Bibetta to review. As we had a picnic on our Summer bucket list I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to test it out. On Sunday we drove to Tatton Park it’s close to home and is a fantastic park with lots to see and do and. As a bonus, they are also celebrating 100 years of Roald Dahl.

The lunch bag from Bibetta is made from washable neoprene and comes in a variety of fun colours and designs, Jake chose the blue fish design. I really like the easy open zip and soft grip handle which are perfect for his little hands. The lunch bag has lots of room and is naturally insulating and can be washed by hand or popped in the washing machine which I think is fantastic. No more crusty corners.

Once we arrived at the park we spent a while on the huge adventure playground before setting off to find a nice spot on the grass to eat our lunch. We found the perfect place underneath one of the ancient trees that populate the whole of the parkland. The weather wasn’t great but the rain stayed off and we still had lots of fun.

We all tucked into our picnic. When our bellies were full we relaxed under the tree for a while before setting off to visit the farm. We saw lots of animals and played on an adventure forest trail. We found a den building area and Mr Fox’s hidden den.

Leaving the farm we found an ice cream van so the children could indulge in a good old-fashioned 99 ice cream. Much to my frugal dismay these now cost £2.50 each! but they were thoroughly enjoyed.

We decided not to visit the garden or the mansion this time as we were all pretty exhausted. Jake still has an afternoon nap. He was starting to flag so we quickly stopped by the stable yard where we took photos with the BFG. We also sat in Roald Dahl’s ideas hut. I would love a writing hut in my own garden.

We had such a wonderful day and will be visiting again before the end of Summer. We can squeeze a few more picnics in before the seasons change.
