Daisy has just started going to Science club after school and she’s loving it. I think it’s more important than ever as parents to encourage our children to explore and enjoy the sciences. We were recently sent a Project Mc2 doll with experiments from the new range to review. Daisy has previously reviewed Project Mc2 McKeyla’s Light Bulb doll with experiments and really enjoyed it so I thought she would like this one too.

The Project Mc2 Dolls with Experiments have been designed to encourage exploration of the S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) areas. Project Mc2 are a team of four smart and super cool girls who love science and use their skills to go on missions. You can watch them in action in the original Project Mc2 series on Netflix.

This time Daisy was sent the Project Mc2 Adrienne’s Gummies doll to review. This doll comes complete with an experiment to make gummy sweets at home. I think she was more excited about the doll’s gorgeous glasses rather than the prospect of gummies, having just gotten glasses herself.

This doll comes with all the equipment you need for the fun gummies science experiment. The set includes a Gummie Pen and Gummie Mould Tray. The kit however doesn’t contain any of the ingredients required to make the gummies, this isn’t immediately obvious by looking at the packaging.

I have to admit that I was disappointed to open the experiment to find that we didn’t have some of the required ingredients. To avoid disappointment we improvised somewhat. We carried out our own experiment using jelly instead. Daisy still had fun watching the jelly cubes dissolve in the water and talking about the difference between solids and liquids.

Daisy used the gummy pen to fill the moulds with jelly, once the mould was full we popped it in the fridge to set. She then spent some time playing with her Adrienne doll while she waited.

The doll itself is absolutely gorgeous, she has long blonde hair and a beautiful butterfly gown. She also comes with cute little accessories, including glittery spectacles, jelly-style sandals and a comb to style her hair. The doll is fully articulated for lots of different poses.

Daisy really enjoyed the experiment and we definitely will have another go at making gummies once we have bought some gelatine.
