Daisy has just started going to Science club after school and she’s loving it. I think it’s more important than ever as parents to encourage our children to explore and enjoy the sciences. We were recently sent an Mc2 Experiments doll from the new range to review. Daisy has previously reviewed the McKeyla doll and really enjoyed it so I thought she would like this one too.
The Project Mc2 Experiments dolls have been designed to encourage exploration of the S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) areas. Project Mc2 are a team of four smart and super cool girls who love science and use their spy skills to go on missions. You can watch them in action in the original Project Mc2 series on Netflix.
This time Daisy was sent the Project Mc2 Adrienne doll with a gummie making experiment. I think she was more excited about the dolls gorgeous glasses having just gotten glasses herself.
This doll comes with a fun gummie science experiment which includes a gummie pen and gummie mould tray. The experiment doesn’t contain the ingredients required which isn’t immediately obvious by looking at the packaging. I have to admit that I was disappointed to open the experiment to find that we didn’t have the gelatine required. We had none at home so we improvised somewhat. We carried out our own experiment using jelly instead, Daisy still had fun watching the jelly cubes dissolve in the water.
Once the jelly had been transferred into the mould we popped it in the fridge. Daisy got on with playing with the doll while we waited for the gummies (jelly) to set.
The Adrienne Attoms doll is fully articulated and comes dressed in a beautiful butterfly gown. She also comes with chic glasses, a collar necklace and a comb to style her hair.
Daisy really enjoys doing these types of experiments at home and we definitely will have another go at making gummies once we have some gelatine.
The Project Mc2 Adrienne doll is available at all good toy retailers.
Disclosure: We received the Mc2 doll free for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
