Look In My Letterbox

I don’t have much to show you this week but with the two fabulous wins I’ve had this week I really can’t complain. You can read about one of my amazing wins on my Word of the Week post and I will tell you about the other below. Here’s what arrived for this weeks look in my letterbox.

Prizes

IMG_1291[1]

I’ve really enjoyed getting back into reading this year so I’ve been entering competitions for books that look exciting, I won this from a one of the book blogs that I follow it’s been translated and sounds like a gritty read.

IMG_1330[1]

The day after my huge win this letter arrived from Real People magazine to say I had won £150 in one of their puzzle competitions, I’m over the moon and can’t wait to buy a few treats with the cheque.

Reviews

IMG_1292[1]

I haven’t reviewed anything on Amazon lately but accepted these bulbs as we are in the process of swapping all our bulbs over to more economical ones.

So that’s all for this week, hopefully I will be back next week with some more lovely things to show you.

Word of the Week – Win

On Wednesday we had planned to meet up with some friends at the park for an afternoon play date, I woke up feeling a little yucky I’ve not been sleeping very well and the heat wasn’t helping. I felt like staying home and if I’m honest the last thing I wanted to be was sociable but I pulled my socks up and went anyway, as we reached the park a bird pooped on me and let me tell you it was that big I thought it might have been a squirrel. Instead of heading home I rolled my sleeves right up and got on with it.

The children had a great time playing with their friends on the park it was a beautiful day and we all know those have been few and far between lately. After having a giggle at my misfortune my friends remarked that it was lucky for a bird to poop on you and that I would win the lottery and you know what they weren’t that far off the mark with what happened next.

Word of the Week (5)

The children and I headed home and Jake took his afternoon nap, I didn’t check my emails until late afternoon and when I did I had the most wonderful surprise awaiting me. I’ve been entering consumer competitions for almost 15 years now it’s a wonderful hobby that has brought me so many wonderful prizes and experiences over the years but what I won on Wednesday blew me away.

Dreams have been running a weekly competition over the summer and I won on week 6 which was £8000 worth of goodies, here’s what I will receive

  1. Bedroom makeover (£4,000 to spend at Dreams)
  2. Samsung 55″ Smart TV
  3. Sonos Playbar Home Cinema Sound Bar
  4. Apple Ipad Air 64GB
  5. Nikon Coolpix bridge camera
  6. Bose® SoundLink™ On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones with Mic/Remote
  7. Michael Kors Handbag
  8. KitchenAid Artisan Cook Processo

I wish you could all have seen my reaction to that email, I’m still in shock and of course delighted and so so grateful to have won.

This weeks word of the week couldn’t be anything but win, I’m linking up as usual with Jocelyn at The Reading Residence .

Look In My Letterbox

It’s been a pretty good week this week, I’ve had freebies, prizes and some purchases arrive so I’ve got lots to show you so lets get on and look in my letterbox.

*Apologies for the quality of the photo’s*

Freebies

IMG_0808

The Weetabix on the go was a SoPost freebie from Twitter, I’ve left the leaflet in the picture incase anyone would like to enter the competition. My advice with the SoPost freebies is to team up with a like minded friend on Twitter and Facebook and send each other one as soon as they pop up.

IMG_0832

I spotted this toothpaste freebie on one of the couponing pages I follow on Facebook, I thought they would run out quickly as it’s quite a generous size so I got in fast and ordered mine.

Prizes

IMG_0806

I should have took a picture of this boxes contents as it’s much more exciting than the outside, I won £15 credit for Stampin Up! from a blog competition and I chose this Project Life set, the cards inside are lovely and I will use them in my happy mail.

IMG_0811

Daisy won this awesome book from Toppsta, if you have little ones make sure you pop across and enter the competitions for them this is the second book we have won from them and they always have a fantastic selection to choose from.

IMG_0812

Another lovely book for the children, this time from a blog competition.

IMG_0831

Finally a book for Mummy and it looks a little racy, I applied to review it for the Mumsnet book club, I had a book from them last month which I really enjoyed so I’m looking forward to reading this one.

Purchases

IMG_0820

Jake is getting to the point where he doesn’t like being in his buggy anymore but he runs away from me when I let him out to walk so I’ve compromised by buying this toddler backpack that has a reign attached, so far so good.

IMG_0845

We bought this fire stick in the Amazon Prime day sale, we have being debating buying one for a while and the time and price seemed right.

I’m linking up with Alice Megan for Look In My Letterbox, make sure you pop across and check out the other lovely bloggers taking part.

Look In My Letterbox

It’s been a slow week for any sort of post arriving, but I do have a few things to show you at least for this weeks look in my letterbox. I’ve taken some time to indulge and rediscover my love of entering competitions so I’m hoping to see the results of that soon, I keep missing out on the freebies but I am being so selective as to what I bring in to the house and I’m trying to think more about quality over quantity.

ReviewsIMG_0169[1]The Johnson’s baby wipes are a product test for the Mumsnet Insight panel. We use baby wipes for absolutely everything not just nappy changes so extras are always welcome.IMG_0189[1]We have been sent this adorable Woodland Fairy Door by interplay to review. There’s a perfect spot for it in the garden so look out for Daisy’s review on the blog soon.

FreebieIMG_0179[1]I used the last of Johnson’s baby club points to order these messy mats for Daisy and Jake. The scheme is closing in July but we’ve had so many lovely books from it that I can’t complain. If you do have points make sure you use them soon.

PurchasesIMG_0170[1]

The Degustabox delivery seems to be getting earlier each month but I’m not complaining. We love getting a box full of delicious surprises every month.

What have you had in the post this week ? leave me a comment below as I love hearing from you.

I’m linking up as usual with Alice Megan for ‘Look In My Letterbox’ why not pop across and see what lovely things everyone has got.

Websters Weekly Prizes & Freebies

I feel a bit embarrassed because for the first time ever I’ve only got one thing to show you. Just one little freebie which I suppose is better than nothing sadly no prizes though.

I feel like I’ve not been applying for many freebies just lately and I really must remedy that this coming week.

I feel like I’ve been slacking on the competition front too. I’ve been trying out some new competition listing websites but I need to focus my attention and look for some low entry ones if I want to start winning again.

IMG_8584[1]I applied for this Prevasore a while ago and I’m sure they sent an email saying they had run out of samples so I’m happy that I got one. I will certainly put it to good use with the awful weather we’ve been having lately.

Hope you have all had a better week than me, I will hopefully have a little more to share with you next week.

I’m linking up with Look In My Letterbox which runs weekly over on Alice Megan’s Blog.

If you like this style of post then be sure you to hop on over there and check out some of the other blogs that are taking part too.

I’m thinking of changing the format of these blog posts to include any purchases that arrive in the post as well as freebies and prizes. Let me know if that’s something you would be interested in seeing.

Have a lucky week!

Webster’s Week In Wins 2nd-22nd March 2014

Hi

I really need to get these posts back on track to being weekly, as well as sharing what I’ve won or got for free, these posts help to spur me on and keep entering, as a stay at home mum I like to feel that I can contribute in some small way and give my family little treats that our budget won’t stretch to.

I signed up to the Aptamil baby club a few months ago as we do use Aptamil formula and will be using it for Tiny Webster, they sent me a little welcome pack with a cuddly Polar bear inside, so it was a nice surprise to receive another little package with a small bottle of Love Boo bubble bath for expecting mums which I thought was very thoughtful.

In the photo above there is also the £100 voucher I won to spend at Frankie & Benny’s, I had never eaten there before but it was all delicious.

There were a lot of the Panebello Pizza vouchers up for grabs so I expect a lot of you were lucky enough to get one, what taste’s better than pizza ? FREE PIZZA !!!

I was so pleased to be chosen to be one of the Spontex Real Cleaners for 2014, I filled in an application form on their Facebook site and had the email a few weeks later to say they would like me to take part, above is my first delivery from them, I’ve already been busy testing them and my reviews will feature on their Facebook page soon.

Daisy got two lovely books in the post this week, the Pooh Bear one I won from Tomy’s Facebook page and the Dino-Mummy book is for us to review for Mumsnet Book Club , the email is worth signing up for as we have had some lovely books from them in the past.

My friend tagged me in a competition that Vegesentials were running on their page, as well their products looking delicious they were giving away £15 of Waitrose vouchers, there were barely any entry’s and both me and my friend won. I don’t really do a lot of Facebook competitions unless they have an app to enter through, like and shares are far to open to abuse and a lot of the time the promoter will only mention your name and not tag you so you can easily miss a win. On the other hand you can find some fantastic low entry competitions that have short closing dates so sometimes it’s worth a go.

The picture above does not do justice to the beautiful laptop bag I won from Good Natured and LoveOlli , it had hot air balloons printed on it, I won it from the monthly email newsletter I get from Good Natured.

I also got as huge Wes Anderson book, it must have been a runner up prize as it isn’t something I would enter for, that can sometimes happen with comping.

I also had a win on Instagram this week, you can follow me  here if you like, the prize was some Ren night cream and some hand cream just a small prize but just goes to show that you can win on there.

I also got a sample of Vichy skin cream, the offer has ended now but do keep an eye out for future giveaways from them.

I hope you have enjoyed having a look at my goodies, I have plans to start blogging about free samples and competitions as they are happening so you can enter too so make sure you follow me on Bloglovin to keep up to date.

Webster’s Week In Wins 3rd-9th February 2014

Hi Folks

I’ve had a nice start to February with a few nice things in the post as well as a WEM for a £100 Frankie & Benny’s voucher, my mouths already watering at the thought of spending that !

I’ve been entering a lot of Pinterest & Instagram comps lately & was delighted to get into the top 10 in the recent Furniture Village competition although I didn’t win I was thrilled to be in the running.

I love Pinterest it’s a fantastic creative outlet, as is Instagram you can find me here on Pinterest or follow me on Instagram.

I won a bag, purse & scarf set from Kaleidescope on Facebook for filling in a short survey about footwear, I have won a few things this was as a lot of people can’t be bothered with surveys, they are often really short with interesting questions so well worth a go.

British Heart Foundation are offering a Heart Matters pack, it comes with some great recipes & a tape measure, it also comes with a fantastic magazine with lots of articles & ideas on keeping healthy.

Go Cat are offering a free sample of their new Crunchy & Tender dry food.

I won The Following Season 1 from Horror Asylum they have some fantastic giveaways every month, I usually find them through Prizefinder.

I found a lovely website for girls called Punky Princess if you sign up for their free VIP membership they will send you a free charm, they also have some great member only competitions.

NaturVits are offering free samples of some of their products, I got the kids Vitamin C sample.

I won a lovely Models Own nail polish, it’s a special Dog’s Trust edition in Carat Gold, the colour looks amazing, I won this from a blog I read regularly.

We are also testing these for Mumsnet, they are aimed at the over 12 market so my son who is 14 is testing them out this week, great way to get vitamins into a teen.

I’m also making videos again over on my YouTube WonderlandFreebies, I’m thinking of doing a Q & A style video all about freebies & comping so if you have any questions you would like answered pleas comment below, on my channel or tweet me @MrsWebster147.
