Review: The Sands Resort, Cornwall

Hi Folks

This week we have been on a short break to Cornwall, I was lucky enough to win a stay at The Sands Resort from the Parentdish website a few months ago.

Our journey took 5 hours and was really pleasant, we were so excited to arrive at the hotel & find that the beach was virtually on the doorstep !

The Room

On checking in we were greeted by Martin, one of the managers, who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome, the reception area was beautifully decorated & furnished.

We stayed in one of the family comfort suites, which included a separate bedroom for Daisy to sleep in which was fantastic. We were super impressed with the spacious, super clean room and the amazing sea view through our balcony window (which was safely barred but didn’t spoil the view).

Huge comfortable bed.
Daisy enjoying the lounge area.

 Family Fun
The Sands have an outdoor pool which we didn’t use but they also have a fantastic indoor pool which we had all to ourselves, it’s a great sized pool ideal for family fun, there is also a steam room for the adults to indulge in.
Because we only had a short time there we didn’t get to try out the soft play area, children’s club or maze, there is so much to do at the Sands that we could quite happily have stayed a week and not become bored.

Daisy enjoyed playing in the sand pit and park which is right outside the hotel, there is also a huge wooden pirate ship which looked lots of fun. There are also plenty for older kids to do such as crazy golf, a games room, a bouncy castle & a zip wire.

Tasty Breakfast
Our stay included breakfast which is served buffet style, there was a really good choice of cereals, yogurt & fruit, and a delicious hot cooked selection. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs, they couldn’t do enough for us

I just remembered to take a photo before I scoffed it all, I also had a side of toast and some tasty coffee, all the food tasted so fresh.

Conclusion

All in all we have a lovely, relaxing family holiday. The hotel is super clean & every single member of staff is friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

I would definitely stay at The Sands Resort again, it was a wonderful experience & I thank them for their generosity at providing such a fantastic prize & friendly stay.
