“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Daisy
The last two weeks since the school closed for the Christmas break have just flown by, we have only found ourselves with a few free days. With Chris going back to work last week we spent a frosty morning at the local park. The kids wanted to take their new scooters for a spin and we were all in need of some fresh air.
Daisy is itching to get back to school, she can’t wait to show her teacher that she lost her first tooth on Christmas eve. On new year’s eve, she told me her resolutions were to be kinder to her brother and more grateful for all the things she has, you can’t ask for more than that really can you.
Jake
Jake has been a ball of energy this school holidays, he’s been asking to go in the garden each morning and racing around the house at every opportunity. He made me laugh this week when he asked his dad how many days it was until Easter ! He loved Christmas this year and was very sad when it was over. This year will see him turning 5, something else he’s counting down the days until.
The Christmas holidays did fly over. It looks like you’ve been having great fun. That was a frosty morning. We haven’t had anything like that here.
Lovely photos x
Thanks Kim, that was the only frosty morning we have had so far. I can’t believe how mild it is for January x
Honestly, this will sound daft but one of the things I’m most dreading is my girl losing a tooth! I really hate gappy gums haha!
I know what you mean Katy, especially when the two front ones go. Daisy wasn’t happy about losing her tooth but she’s okay about it now x
I’m still getting asked daily where the elf has gone and when Santa is coming back, it’s going to be a long year!
Kids are relentless aren’t they, we’ve had those questions too x
I love a good trip to the park to finish off the Christmas holidays! I’m counting down till February half term, and then it will be Easter! Love your pictures!
Those half-terms come round quickly don’t they, no wonder the year seems to fly by !
Waw, I love Daisy’s resolutions. Wouldn’t normally expect that from a child. She sounds lovely.
She is lovely and thoughtful sometimes.
What lovely photos! We are yet to lose a tooth here but my 5 year old is desperate to have a visit from the tooth fairy! #MMBC
Thanks, I was start to wonder if we would get a visit Daisy is 7 and it’s her first one x
It’s funny how little ones count down their days while we older ones don’t wish the time away so much #livingarrows
I know, if only we could slow time right down x
I’m so pleased you’re continuing with Living Arrows – Jake’s photo is so cute and it sounds like you had a lovely Christmas break x
Thanks Donna it’s great to be back x
Hope they’ve both adjusted to being back at school, we’ve found it strange being back in the routine after the Christmas break! x #LivingArrows
They have thanks Madeline x
Glad to see you back for another year! I hope they have settled in back at school, it’s been a bit of a shock to the system for my two! #LivingArrows
Thanks Sarah, they have settled nicely despite some grumpy moods x
I love candid captures like these. Daisy’s new year resolutions are just adorable!
Thanks Jade x
