Living Arrows 10/52 {2018}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Jake

When we woke up to snow on Tuesday morning I quickly hurried the kids outside before school to play in it. Every time we get snow here it’s usually gone by the afternoon and they don’t get the chance. Jake loved it, what he wasn’t fond of was me asking him to stay still while I took this photo. I just wanted some evidence that they had played in snow !

Jake had a pretty good week all round, he got star of the week for his phonics work. After a rocky start to school life he’s now really enjoying going. He should be visiting the zoo next week with school so fingers crossed that the weather behaves.

Daisy

Daisy was extremely excited to see so much snow, she wanted to go out in her pyjamas ! Of course she had to wait until I bundled her up like an Eskimo first.

By the time she finished school lots had melted already much to her disappointment. She’s not actually a fan of winter, just the snow. Every single day she asks me if it’s spring yet, I would like the answer to that question to be yes too.

On Friday Daisy was invited to the staff room along with some other children to celebrate their improved handwriting. She got to enjoy a yummy hot chocolate and a biscuit with the head teacher. I love that the school does things like this, she’s not stopped talking about it all weekend.
