Living Arrows 15/52 {2018}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Daisy

Last week Daisy came from school with a special certificate for being a bookworm. I think this makes me so happy because it reminds me of how much I loved to read when I was a little girl too. Since I started reading again last year it seems to have encouraged Daisy to want to read a whole lot more too. She always asks what the books are about that I am reading. Daisy has told me to save them for when she’s a grown-up so she can read them too.

We have a whole week of school holidays to look forward to now. Daisy has requested park trips, a library visit and lots of crafts at home.

Jake

Jake was delighted to discover that at last he could blow bubbles all by himself. Last summer he would get so cross to find that blowing a raspberry at the bubble wand didn’t work. He spent ages in the garden this weekend blowing bubbles and riding his bike. I lost count in the end of how many re-fills of bubble solution he requested.

  1. It’s so lovely that Daisy loves reading so much – Athena is just the same. And I remember that joy of being able to blow your very own bubbles – love his face! x
