“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Living Arrows
Daisy
After a few busy weekends we spent this one at home, relaxing and generally doing nothing much at all. Despite only being back at school for two weeks this term seems to be hitting them hard. Daisy’s eczema always flares up this time of year so she’s been a bit sore this week. It’s also hard getting her out of bed for school on these cold, dark mornings. I can’t say I blame her for wanting to sleep in though, I’m having trouble getting up too.
Jake
This week Jake brought home an activity bag from school, they don’t give homework in his year but instead rotate these bags. This one was all about the gingerbread man, he really enjoyed working through the activity suggestions. We opted to use our own dough from home though, I dread to think how many little hands have handled those tubs from school.
I love relaxing weekends at home, and I’m struggling to get out of bed too!! Those activity bags sound like a great idea!
They are much more fun than traditional homework x
My girls are finding January hard too! I am blaming the dark mornings. Poor Daisy. I hope she is feeling less sore soon.
That type of homework sounds fab for little one’s. x
Thanks Kim, the dark mornings definitely don’t help matters x
Jake looks so engrossed and Daisy looks SO different without her glasses on! x
We have a tough job getting her to keep them on nowadays x
I understand the desire for hibernation at this time of year. We find that getting outdoors helps. #LivingArrows
Getting outside really does help x
I think we’re all struggling a bit with the dark mornings in our house too, we’re all a bit slow to get going at the moment. Hope Daisy’s eczema eases up soon. x #LivingArrows
It’s so hard to get going x
Love the idea of the activity bags, I love the concentration on Jakes face. I know exactly hoe Daisy feels it has been such hard work getting out of bed for work in the mornings recently. Im certainly ready for the warmer months and brighter days.
I think we are all more than ready for Spring x
