Living Arrows 36/52 {2018}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Daisy

Over the weekend we went to a local farm park, I think you can tell from this photo of Daisy that we had fun. I absolutely love that I’ve captured Daisy laughing. Sometimes if the kids know I’m taking their photo they feel the need to pose, it’s so much better to capture them when they aren’t expecting it.

Daisy is all ready for going back to school on Tuesday, I don’t think she will be happy about having to get up early again though. She’s loved being at home every day and I’m really going to miss her company.

Jake

Jake starts full-time school on Wednesday and I think I’m still in denial about it. The years seem to have just flown by and I often wonder how we got from newborn to now so fast.

I’m not going to lie, I worry about him going to school full-time. I know he is more than ready so perhaps it’s just me that’s not. Jake is the last child I will have starting school so I think that’s making the whole process a little harder for me to take in.

  1. I love Daisy’s photo. A lovely moment to capture!

    My son started Year 4 today and though I am happy for the me time I still miss him so much! I am not use to be alone again!

  2. I hope that they both had a great week of school – especially Jake, what a step! I hope you’re dealing with it ok too. Daisy’s face is just such a picture in that photo x
