Living Arrows 39/52 {2018}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Jake

Jake has had another great week at school, he’s learning how to segment and blend simple words like cat and dog. It’s really captured his imagination and he’s been asking us to practice at home with him. I love seeing him so excited about learning, it won’t be long before he’s reading to us.

In school his class are learning all about sea creatures and each day after school he has a new fact to share with us. This week it’s been all about starfish and the fact that they can grow limbs back if they lose them. There’s a school trip to Blue Planet Aquarium coming up which he’s really excited about too.

Daisy

Daisy has always been fascinated by the changing seasons, she loves collecting little bits of nature especially this time of year. We went to a local woodland at the weekend to take some photo’s for a review and she couldn’t resist seeking out some fallen leaves and acorns. I’m forever finding things all over the house, a sea shell here and a conker there. I don’t mind really except for when she brings bugs in the house along with the foliage.

Daisy has a school trip to look forward to this week, she’s going to our local museum to learn about the town we live in. She also started Spanish club last week at school which she hasn’t stopped raving about. I think we will all be fluent by the time the club ends.

  1. Aww, it’s so lovely to hear they are both enjoying school and learning. It’s amazing when they start to learn to read for themselves isn’t it? It totally opens up a whole new world! #LivingArrows
