“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Jake
We’ve had a great weekend, on Saturday we took Jake and Daisy to the cinema. Jake had never been before, despite getting bored half-way through the film and needing his ear defenders for the noise I think he did enjoy the experience. He’s asked to go again so that’s a good sign.
I went to Jake’s parents evening where his teacher sang his praises. She said he’s a happy little boy, engaged in learning and a joy to teach. I’ve mentioned before how relieved I am that he loves going to school, all that worry over the summer was definitely unnecessary. Jake is very excited about this week as his class are going to the aquarium to learn all about sea creatures. He has been counting down the days since we got the letter last month.
Daisy
We’ve had another tough week with Daisy but I think we might be turning a corner finally. I’m sure it’s mostly down to hormones but it’s still hard to deal with sometimes. Daisy also got a glowing report from her teacher, she’s enjoying school and working really hard in all areas. She’s excelling at maths which amazes me, it’s the one subject I was always weak in so I’m really happy that she has a good understanding of it.
Daisy loved going to the cinema this weekend, I loved watching the expressions on her face and hearing her laugh out loud at the funny parts. She kept whispering to me about who she thought the villain was going to be. On Sunday she got her dressing up box out and spent ages pretending to be different characters, I love her imagination.

Cute captures, and great to hear they are both doing so well in school!
So great to hear that they’re both happy and doing so well at school, especially after the worry about Jake starting. Love the photo of Daisy this week, it’s brilliant seeing them be so creative isn’t it. x #LivingArrows
It sounds like the cinema was a great success and that parents evening went really well too! x
Great to hear they’re both doing well at school. I’ve only taken my two to the cinema a couple of times, it definitely has to be the right film to grab their attention 🙂 #LivingArrows
Lovely to hear they are both doing well at school. I already feel so anxious about Olivia starting next year.
