Living Arrows 42/52 {2017}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Jake

There’s often something creative going on our house and this week was no different. Jake often asks to do drawing in the afternoons. His teacher recently commented that he loves mark making which is unusual for boys apparently. I put this down to him always having access to crayons and paper from an early age.

I’m not massively crafty and I certainly don’t make anything Pinterest worthy but I do love getting creative with the kids.

Daisy

Daisy was set a creative task as part of her homework this week. She was set the task of making a dinosaur model to feature in a dinosaur museum at school next week. I decided to bypass the usual junk modelling and introduce her to the delights of paper mache.

Both her and I had great fun getting messy, it took me right back to my own primary school days.

  1. Ah paper mâché – that takes me right back to being a young girl – I remember making a whale mask for school once, sat with my mum for hours upon hours #LivingArrows
