“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Jake
Despite rain being forecast we actually had some lovely blue skies this weekend instead. Making the most of the good weather we went to find another local park that we had never visited before. This one was just a 10 minute drive away and was a lot bigger than we were expecting. Jake finally agreed to go on the big boy swing and climbed higher and more confidently than he has ever done before. He’s always been a little wary of heights but seems to be overcoming his fear which is lovely to see.
He’s had a great week at school, moving up a reading level and getting a postcard from one of his teachers to say how well he’s been doing. We have just one more week to go before half-term and he’s already listing all the things he wants to do at home, he never stops.
Daisy
Daisy has had a good week at school too, she got star of the day in her keyboard lesson. Daddy and Daisy are both learning to play together in the evenings at home so she’s getting lots of extra practice in. I’m not musical in the slightest but the kids are, they must take after Chris as he is too. I do get the pleasure of listening to them all though, I would love to take them to a concert or musical performance at some point this year as I think they would both enjoy it.
Daisy is also looking forward to half-term, she wants to do some baking and visit the library to get some new books.

Go Daisy! It sounds like she is doing really well with the keyboard. x

I love watching them grow in confidence, hope you have a great half term !

They look like they’re having a great time outside – and I love how you get outdoors as often as possible x
