Living Arrows 9/52 {2019}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Daisy

Daisy and I spent the night at a lovely hotel as part of a Mother’s Day review on Friday night and she absolutely loved it. It was lovely to spend time with her one on one and her excitement was infectious. Daisy wanted to check out everything the hotel had to offer including this giant chair in one of the lounges. We also found another lovely lounge complete with fireplace, comfy velvet sofas and a bookcase where Daisy insisted we sit for a while.

She was in her element when we went for our meal, being handed a menu and ordering herself like a grown up. Again at breakfast the next morning she was eager to get her own food from the buffet, she loved the independence.

Jake

Poor Jake didn’t escape catching the chickenpox from Daisy, he’s had a bit of a miserable week of itchiness. He won’t be able to go back to school until at least Wednesday and he’s been so bored. The garden is soggy so he hasn’t even been able to go outside and play either.

Despite all this he’s still smiling and racing around the house full of energy, pretending to be a robot ninja.

  1. That sounds like a lovely night away – love the big chair! I hope Jake is fully recovered now – chicken pox is horrible but at least it’s over and done with now. #LivingArrows
