Shopping Fatigue

Do you ever feel like you have shopping fatigue? I’ve been feeling like that lately and a  trip to a couple of shops on Sunday and poor customer service in both has made me realise how much I actually detest the process of physically going into a store and shopping.

Lately I’ve been wondering if it would be possible to buy everything we might need online, would it cost us more money but save us a lot of time and stress? Of course, there are downsides like not being able to use coupons or look for reduced bargains, but on the plus side, I am also saving myself so much money by avoiding impulse purchases.

Over the past few months, I’ve started to make some changes that have helped not only our budget stretch further but have also reduced the need to go to a physical store.

  • We order our meat in bulk from a fantastic supplier who offers brilliant value and great customer service, delivery is free.
  • I order our clothing online using free collect from store services, this means we get the exact sizes we want so much better than searching for ages through endless racks.
  • We’ve been taking advantage of the free click & collect service that some supermarkets now offer on grocery shopping, I have my shopping lists saved so ordering is a quick and simple process.
  • I’ve been using Amazon to buy the majority of birthday/Christmas presents, I’ve also been trying out smaller online retailers and the service has been so much better than in physical stores.

What do you think? have you given up shopping in stores and gone online for all your needs? I would love to hear what you think.
