Welcome to A Money Minded Mum (previously Adventures In Websterland) my name is Angela. I’m starting this blog to document and share my passion for money-saving, money-making, and living a fun family lifestyle even when on a tight budget.
Since my early twenties, I have been entering consumer competitions as a hobby winning some amazing prizes and experiences that I never could have afforded to buy. I’ve also met lots of like-minded people along the way and had a jolly good time.
Alongside my hobby, I also like to apply for free samples, test consumer products, and complete surveys. As a stay at home mum, all those things really help to provide extra little for myself and my family.
I started a YouTube channel in January 2013 to document and share anything that I had won or got for free. It started mainly as a record for myself but I have really enjoyed making the videos and connecting with other people who love the same hobbies as me. Making the videos has helped boost my confidence and also kept me motivated to keep entering and applying for freebies.
I’ve been reading blogs for years and finally decided to take the plunge and make one of my very own. To start with I hope for this blog to be a place where I can share my wins, freebies, and adventures in money-saving and money-making.
I also want to share tips and tricks to help you the reader stretch your budget so that you and your family can still have treats and enjoy a fun family lifestyle for less.
