  1. Afternoon tea is such a wonderful tradition, a real treat. I always choose the scones with jam and cream, but actually eat everything in sight! Great competition thanks for the chance to win.

  2. Unfortunately, Gleam is still being a pain in the proverbial and demanding verification via membership of a social networking site. I choose not to belong to social media for ethical reasons. I have Asperger syndrome and when I was a kid, the standard ‘treatment’ for it was a form of psychological torture known as Applied Behavioural Analysis, which essentially involved spying on everything the victim did to work out what made him/her tick, in order to manipulate him/her. The only way to resist it is to put on an act non-stop and hide what really matters to you from the perpetrators, but it still left me with CPTSD. That, essentially, is what social networking sites are doing on the scale of the global population. I’ll stick to competitions operated by Rafflecopter, which is more moral. And speaking of cakes, I’m now longing for a custard pie to chuck in the face of whoever at Gleam came up with this dreadful policy.

  3. I love good scone with fresh cream and tasty jam! but then again I do love my savoury treats too! I would love to win this! Thanks for the chance x

  4. Scones with fresh cream and jam, carrot cake, lemon drizzle, millionaires shortcake – everything, I love the cake! LOL x

  5. What cakes or pastries would you love to find at your afternoon tea if you won ?

l’ve never eaten cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off . . . . maybe there would be some at the afternoon tea

  6. I’m a big fan of the traditional victoria sponge and would love to find that included but some macarons would also be good.

  7. I’d love walnut & coffee cake or carrot cake or even something with fresh cream although, truth be told, I’m not too fussy!

  8. Homemade fruit scones with clotted cream and fresh strawberries are my favourite and for savoury I do love a nice homemade sausage roll too

  9. I would love to find some scones with clotted cream & jam, a variety of macarons, miniature Victoria sponges, mini Custard slices, strawberry tarts, and mini chocolate eclairs

  10. Just the thought of being served a decent cup of tea and some posh cake in beautiful surroundings with a best friend would be delightful whatever the cake, Im sure it will be delicious x
