Five Years

Today marks five whole years since I pressed publish on my first blog post. I knew so little about blogging but I gave it a go anyway. Five years later I’m still here, there’s been up and downs and times when I felt like shutting up shop altogether. I have to say though that blogging has been and still is so fulfilling, before I had this blog I was a totally closed book and lacked self-confidence.

Blogging can enrich your life in so many ways if you let it. From the friendships I’ve gained to the knowledge and skills I’ve learned, it’s all been worth it.

The opportunities I’ve had have pushed me way out of my comfort zone and made me a much stronger, confident and sociable person.

There have been many twists and turns along the way, some good and some bad. Sometimes I’ve got lost along the way venturing far from the purpose of why I started blogging in the first place. I always end up back where I started, sharing the many ways you can live a happy, fun and fulfilling life without having to spend lots of money.

I want to say some thank you’s as without these people and you my lovely readers the blog wouldn’t have come so far.

To Chris who works tirelessly in the background, keeping the blog ticking over. He takes care of all the technical stuff that I can’t get my head around. From hosting issues, to design to layout he does it all. For the unwavering support and the kick up the backside I often need. Without Chris I probably would never have had the courage to start writing let alone still be here five years later.

To Daisy and Jake for giving me so many memories to look back on. For always being willing participants in my review posts. You both give me so much motivation and inspiration every single day.

To my readers, whether you come back for frugal tips, to enter giveaways, to catch up on our life I thank you all. For all the lovely comments you leave me, for connecting with me and for making it possible to still be doing what I love all these years later.

To my fellow bloggers whom some have become good friends. For the support and encouragement, the comments and messages. For making me feel like I can walk into a room full of bloggers and belong.

To the brands, PR’s and companies who work with me time and time again to offer great content to my readers.

Thank you to every single one of you.

Here’s to the next five years !
