Word Of The Week-Busy

The last few weeks have been ridiculously busy and it doesn’t look set to slow down any time soon. The blog is busy, life is busy and my brain is definitely busy. November always seems to be the same and the madness continues right up until Christmas.

I love being busy, in fact I think I thrive on it but I do have to make sure I take some time out for myself. There have been a couple of days this week when I have felt truly overwhelmed with my ever-expanding to-do list.

My diary is jam-packed with events and important dates for school from now until they finish in December. The weekends are just the same, with no less than 3 events this weekend alone. I can’t complain too much though as they are all really fun things.

This weekends plans include a three course meal at Prezzo followed by a trip to the cinema, The Digital Kids show and Foodies Festival Christmas. In between I need to fit homework, housework and family time. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.

Next Friday I turn 40 and I’ve made myself a promise to take the whole weekend off to celebrate regardless of how manic things get.

You might enjoy my previous word of the week post, Challenges .

  1. Like you, I like to be busy, but it’s easy to then get worn out so do take that break. You certainly should treat yourself, it’s a special birthday! Have a fun weekend, it all sounds great x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
