Frugal Winter Warming Chilli Recipe

I thought I would do a little cookery post, I am by no means a fantastic cook but I do enjoy making tasty filling meals on a budget for my family. I want to share with you how I make Chilli, it’s a great winter recipe, really cheap to make & makes enough to easily feed about 6 people.

Above are the ingredients that I used but you can adapt the recipe to suit your tastes, you could add more veggies or use a hot chilli powder.

What You Will Need

500g Beef  Mince (Pork works well too)
2 Tins of Chopped Tomatoes
1 Tin of Kidney Beans
1 Onions
1 Red Pepper
Mild Chilli Powder ( add to suit your taste)
Rice (To Serve)

How To

Fry the onion & pepper in a pan with a little oil to soften
Add the mince to the pan (drain any excess fat)
Once the mince is browned add the tomatoes, kidney beans & Chilli powder
Simmer for 20-25 minutes.

This really is a super simple recipe, it’s great if you are on a budget, it’s so filling & freezes really well.

I would love to hear if you have any super simple budget recipes, leave me a comment I always read & reply.
