There’s nothing better than spoiling the kids, especially during the summer holidays. All those ice creams, days at the beach, day trips, buckets and spades and even family holidays. It’s completely natural to want to spoil your little ones, but when was the last time you thought to spoil yourself?
I’m sure a weekend away and a couple of Vienna Opera Tickets would certainly be a good way to treat yourself. But it might not be realistic. So, I’ve come up with 7 super simple ways you can truly spoil yourself with instead.
7 Super Simple Ways To Spoil Yourself
Get A Massage
There’s nothing that a weekend at a spa retreat won’t fix, but if you’re on a budget then it might not be realistic. But not to worry, how about visiting your local spa and seeing what treatments they have available? If you’re looking for something even more budget-friendly then try a local beauty salon. A 25-minute neck and shoulder massage will leave you feeling incredible!
Get A Facial
Again, check out a spa or a local beauty salon and see what offers they have available. Alternatively, check out some DIY face masks online and recreate that spa feeling in the comfort of your own home.
Get A Room
A whole weekend away might be a bit much either financially or on your babysitting resources, so how about just one night away instead? Leave early afternoon for your destination, spend the day there, sleep in a lovely soft bed, enjoy a completely uninterrupted night’s sleep and then head home again after some lunch. We all need a little “grown-up time”, and a night where you and your partner can enjoy each other’s company and not worry about the children too much will do wonders for your relationship and your energy levels!
Enjoy Something Indulgent
That new coffee bar on the high street that does outrageous coffees and even more outrageous cakes – it’s waiting for you. Or head to the shop and fill your basket with your favourite treats, then enjoy them all after the kids have gone to bed!
Treat Your Feet
Having good footwear is essential for anyone who’s on their feet all day – and that includes us, parents! So, treat your feet with that new pair of boots, sandals or even walking boots if that’s your thing. Having good, supportive footwear is better for your back and your core!
Take A Nap
Easier said than done when you have little ones around, but if you sleep when the baby sleeps or even ask a friend or relative to pop over and watch the kids while you have a 20-minute power nap, you’ll feel refreshed and ready to take on the day afterward. Remember, that laundry can wait!
Buy Yourself New Lingerie
Just, because! It doesn’t have to be a birthday or Valentine’s Day for you to treat yourself with some new lingerie. And there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself to some big comfy underwear either, as long as it makes you feel good, that’s the main thing!

Lovely ideas.
I like to have a soak in the bath when the kids are at school so I can enjoy it in peace. x
