I’m not totally sure that time-out is one word but it fits in with my theme for the week so I’m going with it. I don’t know what it is about this time of year but I always seem to lose motivation for things I normally love to do. This week instead of trying to plod along regardless I just decided to take some time-out.
I’ve not done any of the usual things I do like planning and writing blog posts, or even updating social media. The break has felt good and it’s given me time to have a good think about what direction I want to take this year where the blog is concerned.
The to-do lists have been left undone, and only the bare minimum of housework has been performed. Much to my surprise the world didn’t end.
I have spent my time indulging in reading, playing with the kids, catching up with the soaps and generally lounging about. As someone who usually thrives on being busy it’s been surprisingly easy to relax.
Of course now I’m itching to get back to it, but at least I know exactly what I need to do when it all gets a bit too much.
You might enjoy my previous word of the week post, Treats.
It sounds like a bit of time out was exactly what you needed this week. It’s important to do this and no doubt your motivation will creep back in now x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

Ahh! I think we all need a bit of time out now and again….I did on Thursday. I had a whole morning of doing nothing. I went back to bed after the school run & even had a soak in the bath. It was lovely.
Good for you, sometimes you just need to stop and rest, I do this every now and then and it feels so good and if I really want to be a rebel I eat chocolate at the same time ha ha x
