March is almost over and it’s time to share week 13 of Project 365 with you. It’s been a mixed week with Chris injuring his back and the cat not being well. There have also been lots of lovely moments too like Daisy getting a glowing report at parents evening and spotting more spring blooms when walking Indie.

Monday morning started with a visit to Jake’s school to watch a maths class in action. It was really interesting even if I didn’t have a clue about the actual maths, which was fractions and percentages. The teacher gave the parents the same worksheets to have a go at, I discreetly put mine in my bag. Jake is brilliant at maths, as is Daisy, but they didn’t get their skills from me; it’s all their dad. I would love to understand maths and numbers better; it’s on the list of things to do.

Tuesday was a work day for me, so I spent most of my time in front of a computer screen. I took a few breaks to pace myself and did some of the Lego jigsaw I bought at the weekend. Jake has made a brilliant start, so I didn’t want to do much as he’s really excited about completing this one.

I spotted this beautiful Forsythia in bloom next to what I think is called Ribes Sanguineum on my dog walk. I thought that the colours looked so beautiful next to each other.
Today was another work day for me so I spent most of my day on the laptop. Daisy and I had a lovely walk to her school for parents evening; the sun was really low but still so warm and bright. Parents evening went really well, Daisy got a glowing report.

I had to pop into Sainsbury’s on Thursday to pick up some competition qualifiers and I spotted these Bagels on the shelf. I’ve seen the Americans I watch on YouTube mention everything but the bagel seasoning over the years and I’ve always wondered what it tasted like. I enjoyed these for lunch with cream cheese on and they were delicious.

On Friday morning I went into a couple of my favourite charity shops and found a few treasures. The little purse is Cath Kidston and only cost 50p what a bargain. Daisy is really into making jewellery at the moment and I found her a box full of beads, charms and jewellery making things for £2. I was really happy to find another Ladybird vintage book as well.

Jake and I completed the Lego jigsaw on Saturday, it was surprisingly easy for a 1000-piece puzzle. I think we did a good job together.
I had a lot of errands to run today, Daisy wanted some pants for school now she’s riding her bike there most days. Shopping on a Saturday is not the one, I think I’m going to look at ordering more things online in the future.

Today is Mother’s Day, and I woke up to this lovely box of goodies that the kids put together for me. They went shopping by themselves this year, and I think they did a brilliant job. Jake made me a lovely bear with the things we bought from Hobbycraft a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. He’s put so much love and thought into it.
I did plan on visiting a museum today, but Chris is still out of action with his back, so I’m having a semi-relaxing day at home instead.
I struggled with those maths worksheets, I am not great with numbers and definitely not fractions and percentages.
That looks like a fab jigsaw.
Yep, I have seen that bagel seasoning mentioned a lot, I will have to look out for those bagels.
Aww! What a lovely box of Goodies for Mother’s Day. I hope you had a great day. x
Ah love the mothers day bear. How cute. I love a puzzle too.
You can revise Maths on Duolingo, I think, though I haven’t tried. I was pretty good at maths in school, but now wouldn’t know where to start.
The jigsaw looks great fun! I have tried this bagel recently, as it was on offer in Ocado, but can’t say I’m particularly enthusiastic about them.
Your charity shop stash is as impressive as always. You have a good eye for finding treasures.
What a lovely Mother’s day selection of presents, the bear is especially precious.
Sorry to hear about the injury and that the cat is not well. I hope they both recover fast. The puzzle looks lovely and it must have been rather easy to make the rainbow colours showing approximately where everything is.
Well done to Daisy on her glowing report at parents’ evening. I think Thomas would enjoy those maths problems from Jake’s maths class! That forsythia is pretty next to the other plant. Love the Lego jigsaw. What a lovely box of goodies for Mother’s Day. Hope Chris’s back is getting better now. #project365
What a lovely mother’s day treat box you had. I’m tutoring maths to years 7-10 and I’ve honestly forgotten more than I’ve remembered, I go with the ‘lets find out together, then email the teacher or google it.
Completeing a puzzle in a week is always a lot of fun! I like seeing your treasures from the charity shop – I feel like I do not visit them enough but the ones near me don’t have anything interesting when I do go. Your Mother’s Day gifts look fab.
