Easy Valentine’s Chocolate Treats To Make With A Toddler

I know I’m a little early for Valentine’s day but we have a busy weekend ahead. I thought I would do an easy, simple but very fun activity with Daisy.

When my teenagers were little they loved making corn flakes and rice crispy cakes. I thought I would adapt this idea slightly and make them suitable for Valentine’s day. We also made some chocolates using a silicone heart-shaped Ice-cube tray.

You Will Need

Corn flakes

A bar of milk chocolate for melting

Pink sprinkles or hearts to decorate

Golden syrup

How To Make

Break the chocolate into pieces and place them in a microwaveable bowl,
microwave until melted (make sure you keep checking & stirring so it doesn’t burn).

Pour corn flakes into melted chocolate and stir, add a tablespoon of golden syrup.

Spoon mixture into cake cases and sprinkle to your heart’s content.

Everything taste’s better when you have a chef’s hat on.

This recipe is super simple for tiny hands to help with.

Daisy doesn’t scrimp on the Sprinkles.

Add a little extra love with some fancy decorations.

Always lick the spoon afterwards, Daisy’s favourite part !

Chocolate Valentine’s Love Hearts

You Will Need

A bar of your preferred flavour chocolate

A silicone or similar heart-shaped mould

Sprinkles or hearts to decorate

How To Make

Sprinkle or line the bottom of the mould with your chosen decoration, sprinkles worked really well for us.

Break the chocolate into pieces and place them in a microwaveable bowl,
microwave until melted (make sure you keep checking & stirring so it doesn’t burn).

Pour the melted chocolate into the mould and leave to harden.

Once set pop them out of the mould and enjoy.

The finished result, a little messy but they tasted delicious.
