Word Of The Week-Quiet

Nothing much has happened this week so I thought quiet would be the perfect word to use. Some weeks are busy and others just seem to pootle along at a slower pace, I think I like a mixture of both.

My health has been pretty good again this week so I’ve made the most of the extra energy and worked a few more hours than usual. Emails have been quiet so I’ve spent some time searching around for new opportunities instead of waiting for them to come to me.

I’ve had some nice quiet early morning walks with Indie. One morning there was frost on the ground but beautiful warm sunshine and blue skies. I’m looking forward to not having to wear as many layers.

As it’s been a fairly quiet week there has been lots of time for watching TV and reading. Chris and I have been watching A Thousand Blows on Disney+ and we are really enjoying it. I also watched Adolescence on Netflix, I’m still digesting it there was a lot to think about.

The kids and I have been enjoying watching Sort Your Life Out, we had an episode to catch up on so we’ve watched two this week. It’s made us all motivated to have a declutter and sort out.

I finally finished the book I was reading, The Doll Funeral it was okay but not one I would recommend. I’m currently listening to The Thursday Murder Club and reading a non-fiction book about how to navigate an online world in a healthier way.

There isn’t much else for me to write about this week so this post will stay short and sweet.

I’m linking up with Anne from Raisie Bay for Word of the Week as usual.

  1. A quiet week sounds like a good one.
How wonderful that you’ve had more energy and the walks look lovely, even with the frost.
I watched Adolescence too and there was a lot to digest and think about. It makes me worry for teenagers.

  2. You’ve had quite a lovely week so well done. Glad your health is going well too. I want to watch Adolescence after seeing it featured on the news one day this week. I should get to see it this coming week. Wishing you warmer times so you can continue to enjoy your walks without too many layers.

  3. I am longing for a quiet week, maybe Easter! I am also digesting Adolescence, having a 14 yr old son it was a very hard watch indeed. I didn’t enjoy The Thursday Murder Club much but it’s a much needed introduction to the rest of the series which I found fantastic. I loved them. I’m looking forward to getting out more but I had a set back after my night out on Saturday which has made me feel wary.
