Word Of The Week-Create

This week has been a crafty one so the word create sums it up perfectly. I have always enjoyed doing crafts with the kids. The results are not always Pinterest worthy but we always have fun.

Over the weekend we put the finishing touches to the dinosaur Daisy has made for her homework. It’s so much fun when she gets a creative piece of homework, much more interesting than work sheets.

Daisy was very proud of her dinosaur, posing for a photo before we took it to school. On Thursday we were invited into the classroom to look at all the other dinosaurs and do some prehistoric activities. We had a brilliant time, the kids had all worked really hard.

Jake has had a creative week at nursery too. This week he has brought home a stick man he made, a clay owl complete with feathers and a candle holder. I love these little trinkets they make at nursery, it’s so nice to look back on when they are older.

I’ve also been getting creative for the blog this week too. I’ve been styling my Christmas gift guide photo’s using props. I love experimenting and learning new things, I want to start creating better images and I think I’m on my way.

You might enjoy my previous word of the week post, Poorly.
