It’s no secret that we love getting creative here at the Webster’s, we were recently sent some of the brand new ColourMazing sets from John Adams to review. ColourMazing is a new and exciting way for kids to colour in, squeeze the ColourMazing pens and watch as the ink spreads magically and stays within the lines.
There are eight different ColourMazing sets to choose from, we were sent Jungle Adventures, Garden Friends Colour & Create sets and a Days Out Travel set. The Colour & Create sets come with six magic ink pens and four craft activities. The travel sets come with three magic ink pens and two designs to colour in.
ColourMazing Review
Daisy and Jake decided to work on the Jungle Adventures set for this review, it comes with a pop-up monkey scene, a flying bird, a jungle mobile and some finger puppets to colour in and create.
The kids were raring to get going, Daisy chose a finger puppet to colour in first carefully squeezing the magic pen she was amazed to watch the ink spread. The card is designed so that you won’t go out the lines, if you do squeeze a little too much out it does tend to bleed over the line, this can be wiped with a tissue to remove it.
Daisy did have a few blending issues as she squeezed the pens a little too much in parts but none the less she was thrilled with her creation.
It is recommended that you don’t use the ink pens on any porous surfaces so I advise using a splash mat or protective table cover when you are colouring in.
Jake chose to colour in the flying bird, he concentrated really using gorgeous vibrant colours on the birds’ wings and bodies. Once he had finished we left the bird to dry completely before constructing it.
