Halloween is when ghouls, goblins, and witches come out to play, and the streets are filled with children in spooky costumes, eagerly trick or treating. However, as times change and safety concerns arise, parents are seeking alternatives to trick-or-treating.

If you are looking to switch things up or you just want to add in some extra activities I have some ideas for you. Here are  10 creative alternatives to trick or treating that will still fill your Halloween with the spirit of fun and fright.

1. Halloween Movie Marathon

One of the cosiest and easiest ways to celebrate Halloween is by hosting a Halloween movie marathon at home. Pop some popcorn, and enjoy classic horror movies, spooky animations, or family-friendly Halloween films. It’s a great way to spend quality time together in a safe and controlled environment.

Transform your home into a spooky haunted house and invite neighbours and friends to visit. You can create a haunted walkthrough in your backyard or garage, complete with ghostly decorations, eerie lighting, and creepy sound effects.
