“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Last week wasn’t the best of weeks. The children and I were still struggling with this horrible cough and cold. We just couldn’t seem to shake it. Fingers crossed we seem to all be on the mend just in time for half term.
It looks like there’s some nice weather on the way this week so we plan to make the most of it. The children will finally be able to play in the garden. They love being outdoors.
Jake
Despite feeling poorly Jake still wanted to play. He built himself a little fort with his toys and the storage boxes. This is the bat cave den.
Daisy
I just had to include this photo. Daisy loves anything to do with beauty especially lip balms. We went shopping on Saturday and I let her choose a new one. I didn’t think to check if it was tinted but we soon found out.

Sorry to hear you are not well, hopefully this week will be better for you! Its amazing children’s resilience, they always want to keep playing! Love Daisy’s lipgloss photo!
If only we as adults had the same resilience !
That photo of Daisy made me laugh, I’m not sure what it is about lip balm and children but my girl loves putting it on and it will go round and round until its empty! #LivingArrows
Same here Sherry or she twists it that far it falls out. Kids definitely have a fascination with lip balms !
How rubbish that the children have been poorly, i hope that they are feeling better now. Haha love the lip balm photo. Olivia keeps trying to put my make-up on when i get ready in the mornings.
That lip balm is hilarious! So funny! So sorry you’ve all been poorly – I hope you’re feeling better soon x
lol with the tinted lip balm, this is like my Evs!
