I love Easter, we get a four-day weekend, Chris is off work, Daisy is off nursery and the house has chocolate plenty.
We woke to a beautiful blue sky on Good Friday so we decided to make the most of it. We took a trip to a local nature reserve, Daisy took her scooter and Jacob swapped between toddling and his Smart Trike.
We headed home for lunch then went to visit my big girl Jess and our grandson Olly to exchange Easter gifts.
I had spotted that Smyths Toy Store was holding an Easter event for children with free goody bags and an Easter egg hunt, so we got up on Saturday morning and headed up to the store in the next town across from us, I’m so glad we arrived early as it was so busy.
In the afternoon we stopped by our local town and much to Daisy’s delight we bumped into Elsa and Anna from Disney’s Frozen.
We woke to dull but dry weather on Sunday morning, the weather forecast was rain for the afternoon so after doing a little Easter crafting we decided on the spur of the moment to take a drive to a local beach.
When we arrived at the beach the tide was already in so although we didn’t get to walk on the sand we had a windy walk along the coastal path and a picnic in the car overlooking the ocean.
We arrived home in time for the rain and spent the afternoon watching movies and eating Easter eggs.
It’s been a fantastic weekend and we’ve squeezed as much fun into it as we could, Daisy is back at nursery for a few days before she finally finishes half term then the fun begins all over again.
What did you do over the Easter weekend? leave me a comment below I love hearing from you.
