Living Arrows 30/52 {2018}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.

Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.

Daisy

This weekend we spent lots of time at home just relaxing. We have a few busy weekends coming up so I wanted to have some downtime before the madness of summer begins. Daisy and Jake still have another week to go at school but they are already shattered and more than ready for the break.

Daisy loves having a desk in her room, she can create away to her heart’s content. She has been asking for the craft box out lately so I’ve just replenished it in time for the summer holidays.

Jake

Jake has really been into drawing and colouring in lately which is most unlike him but lovely to see. His transition to reception class has gone really well, it’s just mornings at the moment of course but come September he will be in school full-time.

There’s just one week of our afternoons together left and it all feels a bit strange. I’ve been so used to it just being me and him, so I’m sure things will feel very odd in September. We’ve been making the most of the time by going to the park straight from school. I’m not sure I feel quite ready for my last born to go off to school all day. I definitely didn’t expect to feel quite so emotional about it either.

  1. It will be so strange having a new routine but I’m sure you’ll all get used to it. Sometimes you just love a nice weekend at home don’t you? x

  2. I hope you’re feeling more relaxed now school has finally finished. I’m sure I’m going to feel very strange when it’s time for Gabe to start school next year. We have that drawing board thing too – it’s fab isn’t it, we’ve had it about 3 years now and it still gets used all the time. #LivingArrows

  3. I felt the same way when my youngest started school last year – its so bittersweet isn’t it? Having said that he absolutely loves school now! #LivingArrows
