Five Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week {12.8.22}

Every Friday I share five frugal things I’ve done to save or make money. I believe that a frugal lifestyle is an individual thing and there is no right or wrong way of going about it. From the smallest of savings to the greatest, it all adds up and contributes to living the life we want for less.

Five Frugal Things

1 ) We live quite close to a brook where there has been an absolute explosion of blackberries growing this year. On a recent dog walk my son and I took a tub and had some free fun picking the juicy fruit. They will be turned into an apple and blackberry crumble.

2) This week we enjoyed a takeaway totally free thanks to my husband and I each winning £25 credit for Uber Eats. Free food always tastes better in my opinion.

3) Speaking of prizes it’s been another winning week. I won a book, a bundle of sweets, a mini monopoly game, and a  £350 Amazon voucher. Needless to say, there will soon be a spending spree.

4) Side hustles have been good to me this week, I took part in two market research projects. Despite it being the summer Prolific Academic has been very busy with surveys and studies too. The incentives from side hustles are great but I also enjoy the opportunity to share my thoughts.

5) The best fun is free fun so this week we headed to a beautiful forest to explore. This forest is less than 30 minutes from home and has a little waterfall. There is also a stream which the kids love to splash and stomp.
