Welcome to a new weekly series on my blog where I will be documenting all the ways I have made money on the side and brought in little treats for my family. I wanted to write a blog post that would encompass everything I do to make and save our family money. I thought a weekly round-up post would be a perfect way to do this.
Here’s an idea of what I will be sharing each week.
Some important things to note before I begin.
All earnings from income streams including blogging, surveys, focus groups etc must be declared for tax purposes. I recommend using a spreadsheet to keep track it makes completing your tax return a lot easier.
In the UK prizes are not taxable.
For freebies I will try to include links where I can, lots are time sensitive offers so may have expired by the time I post.
£50 blogging income.
£20 Argos vouchers from Consumer Plus.
I made £10.30 on Prolific Academic which I haven’t cashed out yet.
£1.88 on Qmee *just by searching for Christmas present ideas.
£4 Pinecone survey.
I haven’t had as much time as I would like to spend on survey sites. I’m close to cashing out on several, I’m hoping I can get back on top of this once the kids are back at school.
I try to enter between 50-100 competitions a day on average, time permitting of course. I’m trying to focus on entering for things from my wish-list to avoid cluttering up the house with things we don’t want or need. I’ve been a comper for 16 years and find I can speed through entries pretty quickly.
A cute little lunch bag from Cheesestrings arrived for Daisy although she’s happily using it as a handbag. I won this in a daily competition they are running in association with the new Emoji movie. You can enter 3 times a day, you don’t need a photo you can enter using the Express Yourselfie creator like I did. This competition is running until November 30th 2017 so plenty of chances to win. Here’s the link.
Last month Frubes had a daily, no purchases necessary competition running in association with Despicable Me 3 the movie. I entered daily and won 4 prizes the last of which arrived on Saturday.
I got a winning email from Kat at Candyfloss & Dreams blog, I won a book for Daisy called Marge In Charge. Daisy has just started reading chapter books so she will love this when it arrives.
Instagram was lucky for me on Friday, I had a message from Astonish to say I had won a prize. I’m not sure what will arrive yet but I’m looking forward to it. I love their oven and cookware cleaner it’s really good.
So Post freebies have been a little thin on the ground recently but this lovely little sample of Ellie Saab perfume arrived. It smells really nice.
If you are a Sky subscriber make sure you sign up to their free VIP club and check the app. We got free credit for Sky box office so we ordered Boss Baby* on buy and keep totally free.We realised looking at all the movies in our planner we have never paid for any of them so it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for offers.
I also checked our British Gas rewards account after a tip-off on a Facebook group I’m in. I bagged us 10 free days of electricity.
I’ve really enjoyed discovering the Shopmium app again recently. I got all these products for free, the granola and Trek bar were totally free and the rest was discounted but I covered the full cost with my referral credit. Payment arrived in my Paypal account within 24 hours which is brilliant. If you want to join be sure to use the code KMFEUAMT to get a free box of cornetto ice-creams*.
This Sensse Eye Massager* arrived for me to review. I don’t tend to do a lot of product reviews nowadays as the blog reviews keep me quite busy but if I see something I really want then I will apply.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, I will be back next week to share more with you. If you have any questions at all then leave me a comment or contact me through Twitter or Facebook.
