Money On The Side {9th-15th October 2017}

It’s time for week 8 of my money on the side series where I share with you all the ways I have made money on the side and brought in little treats for my family. Despite being poorly for most of the week I’ve been fairly productive. I have managed to get ahead with blog content and secure some sponsored work too. I’ve also been able to cash out from several earning sites and treat myself to a coffee machine.

Some important things to note before I begin.

All earnings from income streams including blogging, surveys, focus groups etc must be declared for tax purposes. I recommend using a spreadsheet to keep track it makes completing your tax return a lot easier.

In the UK prizes are not taxable.

For freebies I will try to include links where I can, lots are time-sensitive offers so may have expired by the time I post.

Earnings

£35 blogging income.

£16 Pinecone Research surveys.

£5.74 Prolific Academic.

£8.05 Quidco.

£3.14 Qmee.

£3 Populus Live surveys.

Blog Reviews

I had a few things arrive for my Christmas gift guides. I can’t show you those though, I don’t want to spoil the surprise.

I’m working on a blog post about self-care in Autumn and some eyelergy and Prevasore arrived to feature in it.

Freebies

I finally got round to claiming some freebies from the Shopmium app at the weekend. If you don’t have an account yet you can get a free bar of chocolate if you sign up using my code KMFEUAMT.

Bargains

I’ve wanted a coffee maker for years but have never got around to buying one. With Christmas already sorted I decided to use my earnings this week and treat myself. This DeLonghi Dolce Gusto was an absolute bargain from Argos at £54.99. It came with 3 boxes of pods and a pod holder as well as the machine. It’s so simple to use and the coffee is delicious.

If you have enjoyed this week’s post then make sure you check out last week’s Money On The Side post too.
