The Melissa & Doug Pet Travel Play Set comes complete with everything you need to take your soft toy pets with you on your adventures. Melissa & Doug very kindly sent us one to review, my kids love imaginative and creative play so I knew they would love testing it out.
Melissa & Doug Pet Travel Play Set Review
The Pet Travel Play Set comes with a plush dog and cat, a soft pet carrier with storage pockets and a removable bed, a travel dish, a reversible water/food insert, 2 write-on name tags, a collar, harness, leash, 2 reusable pet ID’s, travel tips and checklist and a ball.
The plush dog and cat are a lovely size and so soft and cuddly, Jake loved giving them both a cuddle. We really liked that the harness fits both the dog and the cat so you can choose who to take for a walk.
Jake liked pretending to feed his dog, the insert has water on one side and food on the other so you can flip it over when your pet is hungry. 
Taking his dog for a little walk and playing ball was also lots of fun, the leash clipped easily onto the harness Jake could do this himself.
When it was time for us to go out Jake popped his pet inside the carrier and stored the leash and ball in the side pockets. He also used the checklist to tick off everything he needed to take for his pet while travelling. You can use a pencil on the checklist and then use an eraser to remove the ticks easily, I really like that you can reuse them over and over again.
Jake loved using his imagination with the play set, it is such a good way to introduce pet care and responsibility as well as encourage creative play.
