This week has been about my frustrations with technology, it’s a marvellous thing when it works properly. Do you ever have those weeks where you feel like technology is against you ? It’s been one of those weeks for me much to my annoyance. Technology is a double-edged sword, I am so reliant upon it now both for work and for leisure which isn’t always a good thing.
I wanted to place an online food order this week that I could click and collect, I find I save more money doing this than mindlessly putting extra things in my trolley in store. I’ve recently changed the email address I use for shopping online and doing this seems to have created some problems. No matter what I tried I just couldn’t log in, I even spent 20 minutes on the phone to try to sort it out but they were clueless too. I’m now waiting for someone to contact me from their tech department.
I ran into another problem when trying to place an order on a clothing website, I just couldn’t get it to accept a discount code that they had sent me. After emailing for help I was told to pay the extra then they would refund me instead, this involved having to send screen shots and proof of the code. I then tried to log in to another website to be told that my password was incorrect and try as I might I couldn’t get them to send me the link to reset it.
I’m seriously starting to wonder if the universe is trying to stop me spending any money this week. I know these things are all small frustrations in the great scheme of things and technology is definitely something I’m incredibly grateful for. Hopefully my run of bad luck with technology is over now, fingers crossed.

I’m linking up with Anne from Raisie Bay for Word of the Week.
And you also had to cope with facebook and instagram being down too the other day. I would definitely say that the universe was against you. I always find that’s the way it goes with technology, it either works really well or it just goes to pot x
Oh it’s so frustrating when technology works against you, and so many things seem to happen at the same time. I hope next week is much better for you. I’d be lost if I couldn’t do my shopping online and my family would be very hungry.
Thanks for linking up to #wotw
Ugh! Technology problems are the worst and the most frustrating.
Technology is incredibly frustrating when it doesn’t work well. We’re so used to things running smoothly on the whole and it is annoying when passwords don’t work and you have to spend ages trying to sort it out. Hope you manage to get your online shopping sorted out. #WotW
Yes. I get that some weeks. Technology just seems to be against you sometimes. It’s even more frustrating as a tech when it’s not my end that’s the problem. If the error comes up as a screen of code, I end up trying to decode it for clues, which is pointless. Don’t get me started on calling their support! I feel your pain. #wotw
Calling their helplines is sometimes more frustrating than the actual problem !
Ha ha it really does sound that way doesn’t it, I do find that I have weeks like that it always comes in runs. Its crazy how we rely on technology now and if one thing does not go to plan it can cause so must disruption x
It’s scary how much you come to rely on it isn’t it. I’m hoping technology will behave itself from now on.
Funnily enough, I was only saying the other day that maybe it would be cheaper to do the weekly shop online rather than going to the supermarket and picking up things that weren’t on the shopping list! Sorry to hear about your technology woes though.
It really does work out cheaper, it’s stops you being tempted by all the extra offers in store x
