Christmas Catalogues, Flat Lays & Comfort Zones #LittleLoves

It’s time to share another week of little loves with you. I can’t believe we are already over a week into November. This year is going ridiculously fast, I’ve been so busy the past few weeks and I think it’s making time pass even quicker. I’ve really had to force myself to take some out and indulge in my little loves.

Here are this weeks little loves.

Read

I love this time of year when all the Christmas catalogues and leaflets come out. This week I’ve been in awe at all the beautiful things in them. I can’t afford half the things inside but I love seeing how the products have been styled. I’ve been taking inspiration from the images to incorporate into my blog.

Watched

Quite unbelievably and unusual for me I have barely watched any TV this week. I’ve found some new channels on YouTube to watch instead. One of my new favourites is a family-style channel called Wright At Home. It’s full of family meal ideas, grocery hauls and fun that I can actually relate to. I find that I can’t relate to most of the huge vloggers on YouTube. They seem to have endless amounts of money and glamorous lifestyles.

Heard

Chris has finally gotten his guitar out again, I love listening to him play. I put a little story up on my Instagram of him learning the songs from Moana for the kids. When Daisy was small he learned how to play the ‘Bing Bong’ song from Peppa Pig, he’s a good Daddy.

Made

My head seems jam-packed with ideas for the blog at the moment. I want to create much better images and content. Chris bought me an early birthday present of a Cannon G7X camera and I can already see a difference in my photography.

I’ve been experimenting with some flat lay styling and have treated myself to a little box of flat lay. I was so impressed when it arrived that I ordered the Winter edition too. I feel really excited about my blog again and have been making lots of plans.

Wore

It’s finally been cold enough to layer up so I’ve been able to wear some of the oversized tops I bought from H&M in September. They are slightly off the shoulder which is way off my usual style. I’m trying to experiment with my style now that 40 is fast approaching. I feel like shaking things up and pushing way out of my comfort zone.

I’m not quite brave enough for OOTD photos just yet, watch this space.

And Lastly…

I’m meeting the lovely Tracey from The Williams World for breakfast on Saturday and I can’t wait. I’m just sad that our other blogging buddy Angela from The Life Of Spicers can’t come as she lives too far away. The friendships I’ve gained from blogging have by far been the best part of this experience for me.
