“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Jake
It’s been lovely having the kids at home this week, we have had a few fun days along with some quieter ones too. I feel like we’ve struck a good balance this Easter holidays between being busy and having some down time. The kids seem to cope much better if we plan our days out and activities around some slower more restful days.
Friday was a day of fun though, we went to review Treetop Adventure Golf in Manchester. The kids had never played mini-golf before so it was very exciting for them. Jake really enjoyed the experience although he did get fed up with the club after a while preferring to roll the ball instead. Non the less he still had fun, especially at lunch time when he tucked in to his pizza.
Daisy
Daisy was thrilled to be able to have her face painted at the adventure golf, they had a lovely lady there offering free face painting for the Easter weekend. According to Daisy her spirit animal is a leopard (where does she get these things from?) so she asked the lady to paint her as one. I was so impressed with how good she made Daisy look, she used different types of glitter which Daisy was delighted with.

That is one scary leopard, amazing face painting! Sounds like a really fun day out. We’ve not done mini/adventure golf yet but I think it’s something my 2 would really enjoy. x #LivingArrows
It sounds like you had a great time at the golf place. Daisy looks like such a fierce leopard! #MMBC
I love that quote and your idea to show photos of your children each Monday. they are both adorable. The face painted picture is a special one!
Wow look at that face painting! That is awesome 🙂
Daisy’s face looks brilliant. Mini golf is such fun. I like that Jake did it his way. I might try that tactic next time. #MMBC
That face paint is fantastic and I remember LP and Little Man’s first game of crazy golf – it’s made them want to do it again and again! x
Daisy’s face paint is awesome! We took our boys to mini golf for the first time quite recently too and they really enjoyed it as well. We’re looking for some different ones to try so I’ll have to have a look at the one you went to. #LivingArrows
