“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Kahlil Gibran.
Every Monday for the rest of this year I will share with you two photo’s of my children that celebrate their childhood.
Daisy
Jake
Last week was a tough week for us all. The kids Nana, Chris’s mum, passed away on Saturday and although we spent all week preparing them it was still hard for them as you can imagine. I didn’t have any photo’s from the week but I still wanted to document this part of their lives. These photo’s were taken on Sunday when we had a much-needed gentle and slow day at home.
Daisy watched some of her favourite shows on the iPad snuggling with her favourite pink blanket. Jake spent the day playing in-between needing lots of cuddles. He’s having some separation anxiety at the moment and cried twice when I left him at nursery last week. I think he’s feeling a little out of sorts and is definitely coming down with something as his eczema has flared up which is a sure sign.
Loss is such a horrible thing for them to experience, but sadly it’s a part of life that’s just unavoidable. We are giving them lots of extra cuddles and hoping it helps them a little.
