7 Unique Ideas and Concepts if You Want Your Wedding Ceremony to Stand Out

Weddings happen every day. To make a wedding ceremony stand out, the couple needs to be original with their ideas. The following are seven fun ideas to have a unique wedding ceremony that everyone remembers for years to come.

One: Pick a Unique Wedding Venue

A person who wants their wedding ceremony to be memorable should first start with a unique wedding venue. Skip the most popular places and, instead, consider a new place, like a wedding at the vineyard. If brides constantly book a facility, skip that place and look for a lesser-known venue. If guests have never been to the venue before, it will be exciting and stand out in their minds.

Two: Offer Guest Transportation

If the wedding budget is larger, consider offering guest transportation to the ceremony. This can be as simple as having a car pick them up at their homes or as elaborate as having guests arrive in hot air balloons. School buses, carriages, and limousines are all options to consider if guest transportation fits into the wedding budget.

Three: Give VIP Guest Bags

While guest gift bags are completely optional at a wedding, couples who can afford them should consider going all out with VIP guest bags at the ceremony. These are great for making wedding guests feel welcome and for having the ceremony stand out. Consider filling the bag with coffee, tea, personalized wedding glasses, snacks, or even little bottles of champagne.

Four: Have a DIY Flower Station

Keep the ceremony unique by having a DIY flower station. This area is where guests can create their own corsages or boutonnieres using flowers that match the wedding theme. Have colorful ribbons, pins, and labels available at the station for craft guests, and let the fun begin.

Five: Offer Child Care

Many guests may feel like they cannot attend the event because their children will be a distraction for the bride, groom, and the other guests. They may feel like they need to leave as soon as the ceremony is over and rush home to their kids. Help parents skip the kid’s guilt by offering child care.

This can be as simple as having a special room for the kids with a few babysitters, snacks, and toys. Other people may go all out and have a special party area for kids with a bounce house, several nannies, and a kids’ chef. If child care is in the wedding budget, go for it!

Six: A Choreographed Group Dance

Choreographed dances are all the rage and can have a wedding end up going viral. Consider having the wedding party participate in a choreographed group dance or a flash mob to have the wedding ceremony stand out. Send an instructional video to certain guests ahead of time or practice as a group before the big day.

Seven: Over-the-Top, Late-Night Snacks

If the party is going to last late into the night, keep guests feeling their best by offering late-night snacks. Skip the uptight food and consider offering milk and cookies, milkshakes and french fries, or some other casual combination of late-night junk food. Are the guests ready to leave for the night? Send them off to their car with a slice of pizza and a canned drink or popcorn and candy.

The seven ideas above are great ways to have a unique wedding that stands out with guests. An important rule of thumb is to avoid what all of the other happy couples have done for the past few years and, instead, aim to be unique. Being unique means the wedding is one of a kind and will not likely be forgotten by guests any time soon.
