It’s that time of the week when I share a snapshot of everyday life. This is a year-long project, and I’m very impressed that 10 weeks in, I haven’t forgotten to take a photo every day.

Looking at the above photo, you would think it’s sunset, but it’s not; it’s actually 8.30 am! Monday started off very dusky but did brighten up in the afternoon. After taking Indie for a walk, I settled down to work on the blog, apply for some market research opportunities and enter some competitions.

After failing to find a Jiff Lemon for pancake day, I went with fresh ones. I’m a lemon and sugar (sweetener) girl when it comes to pancakes, plain and simple. The kids had golden syrup and chocolate syrup on theirs.

My eldest daughter is launching a sweetie business in the next couple of weeks, so she brought us some samples to try. I’m really excited for her, and I hope she does really well. She currently has a competition running on Facebook and Instagram if anyone would like to enter.

It’s been ages since I did a jigsaw, seeing as I was having a rest week, I thought I would get started on one. This one is an old-fashioned pharmacy, I love jigsaws with lots of detail.

Something nice and easy for tea on Friday evening a delicious vegetable pizza. I’m not a vegetarian, but I will often choose a nice veggie pizza; they just taste so much better than a plain cheese or meat feast, I think.

I noticed that our local library was having an unplugged family event with board games and puzzles. Daisy and I rode our bikes over there and enjoyed playing some games together.

Does anyone else have a cat that likes to sit on jigsaws? Every time I’m completing one, he likes to make himself comfortable and watch me struggle. Today is a good day for some spring cleaning, so I’m going to start with the windows.
Ooh that pizza does look really good. I’d never choose a veg pizza, but maybe I will next time. Hope your daughter’s sweet business goes well. The cones and easter options look really good. I’ve been very slow at jigsaws, I’ve got 5 upstairs that aren’t even open, and 2 downstairs that are new sitting here waiting for me too.
Good job at not missing a photo, it becomes habit eventually.
I got my Jiff lemon a few weeks ago because I know they are hard to come by around pancake day.
Good luck to your girl with the sweetie business.
That pizza does look so good! I would never choose a veggie one but I really should. x
Well done on not missing a photo for ten weeks. I have cheated a bit, taking a few screenshots rather than actual photos.
I guess I’m not British enough (even with living here for almost 30 years) to choose a lemon and sugar option for pancakes. 🙂 In my childhood I’d probably have soured cream with sugar as a topping, or honey.
Good luck to your daughter with the sweets business. The veggie pizza looks super healthy. From the vegetarian ones I like the Fiorentina (with an egg on top).
Lol @ the cat on the puzzle. My 80-year-old Mum is an artist, and many times her cat would try to sit on top of her paints, just because. 🙂
I’m a lemon and sugar girl when it comes to sweet pancakes too. Good luck to your eldest daughter with her sweetie business. Love veggie pizzas – I prefer them to meat ones too. How lovely to play some games together at the library. Your cat looks very comfortable sitting on your jigsaw puzzle! #project365
